The Youth Department is a ministry for young people between 6-30+ years of age.

Mission Statement

To lead young people into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and embrace his call to discipleship and service by communicating the everlasting gospel of God’s love in their generation in preparation for eternity.

Our Task

Lead Youth to understand their individual worth by helping them discover and develop their spiritual gifts and abilities.
Equip and empower youth to a life of service within God’s church and community.
Ensure the integration of youth into all aspects of church life and leadership; make them full participation in the mission of the church.
To provide contemporary, relevant resources for the young people in order for them to be able to get involved in a variety of ministries as well as to better serve their local church.


Seventh-day Adventist church East Kenya Union has youths who understands their individual worth evidenced by optimal use of their spiritual gifts and abilities, as demonstrated by a life of service within God’s church and the community in fulfillment of the mission of the church.


1. Adventurers : 6-9 years

2. Pathfinders : 10-15

3. Ambassadors : 16-21

4. Senior Youths/ Young adults : 22+

The Busy Bee level is designed for 6yrs Friend class – 10yrs
The Sunbeam level for 7yrs. Companion – 11yrs
The Builder level for 8yrs Explorer – 12yrs
The Helping Hand level for 9yrs Ranger – 13yrs
  Voyager – 14yrs
  Guide – 15yrs


1. PROVIDE youth with Bible-based foundation
2. RAISE the devotional life of the youth
3. LEAD youth to understand and discover their individual worth
4. TEACH youth the principles of stewardship
5. ENSURE the integration of youth to all aspects of church life and leadership
6. EQUIP and EMPOWER youth for a life of service.
